Buckle Up Because We Are Entering Prime Trolling Season From NBA Players

With the NBA Trade Deadline quickly approaching this Thursday, it's time to fire up the yearly tradition of players tweeting suspicious emojis in an effort to get the entire internet all worked up. It happens every year, they know exactly what they are doing and 99.9% of the time it's all complete bullshit. How could we forget Blake Griffin pulling this off flawlessly?

Even if you know they are messing with us, we still can't completely ignore it, at least I know I can't. Especially when Woj is out here reporting this

"including Atlanta" from Woj yesterday, then the eye ball emoji today from Trae Young. Coincidence? Probably, but as someone who has made it clear he wants ATL to get him more help, you can't ignore it. In terms of salary, they do have shit to make it work. Evan Turner is out of the rotation and on the block and he makes $18M so that could be something.

To be honest this trade deadline is going to be really weird because so many teams think they are in the hunt. Way more buyers than sellers I feel like because everyone is so grouped together (not counting MIL) from both conferences. Even teams that aren't in the playoffs currently in the 9-12 seeds technically are still alive and aren't all that willing to sell off good players. I certainly do not think we are going to get the craziness we saw last year

but that won't stop me from taking the bait every single time an NBA player tweets an emoji. Trae may have been the first but he most certainly will not be the last as more reports come out between now and Thursday. This is just my reminder to you all to make sure you have all your notifications on for Haynes/Woj/Shams/Stein/etc and be prepared to be trolled by NBA players because it's only going to heat up from here.
